June is national LGBTQ pride month in case you didnt know. It was first declared by Bill Clinton on June 2nd, 2000 as “Gay and Lesbian” month , followed by Barack Obama in 2009 which declared June as ” Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month” , its also the perfect time to appreciate some good tunes by those who identify as part of the LGBTQ community! The music duo goes by the interesting genre of “Bipolar Folk” a blend of indie/folk/punk , hailing from southern California, they released their first album “Green” in 2015 followed by their most recent release in 2017 titled “I’m Late” , check them out below!
Was an American R&B/hip hop duo based in Seattle consisting of rapper Stasia “Stas” Irons and singer Catherine “Cat” Harris-White. In 2011, Sub Pop Records signed the duo after hearing their guest track on Shabazz Palaces’ 2011 album Black Up.
