Netflix wasted no time saving the day after it was recently reported that Paramount dropped the movie adaption of  Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s classic The Little Prince, which was originally slated to release in US theaters March 18th.

The classic children’s story will debut on Netflix streaming later this year, but for those determined to see it now and have nothing better to do can head to Canada to watch it there, where it is currently playing in theaters.

The movie which stars Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, James Franco and more has been a highly anticipated release with a lot of mystery and confusionn surrounding it since it was released only in France last July, even the director seemed confused in a series of tweets sent: “Many thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support in these strange times,” he wrote. “As it turns out, the much anticipated U.S. release of this special and unique film will have to be anticipated just a little bit more. … All I can say is #thelittleprince will in fact be released by another distributor later this year. … Until then, head to Canada! The film opens there in wide release this weekend!”

Here’s to hoping for a  smooth Netflix release!
