Black Mirror Hashtag #DeathTo is Trending, And You’ll Never Guess Who’s Winning

By November 16, 2016Media

The Netflix original show “Black Mirror” is like a modern, techno-paranoia Twilight Zone, which explores human nature and the dangers of technology, the message of the show is not that technology in itself is dangerous, but that humans tend to corrupt it.

In the episode “Hated in the Nation” the hashtag #deathto begins trending, people use it a long with the name of somone they hate, then the highest tweeted name ends up dying, in the end the whole country gets their comeuppance  in way of mass genocide by robot bees. It’s a must watch.

And wouldn’t you guess it, it is now currently trending on Twitter, and SURPRISE Donald Trump is currently winning, by a huge margin. Now some would argue this goes against the message of the show, and I in no way would ever endorse violence or murder, but to some, the permanent removal of a fascist, racist sexual predator might be worth a couple bee stings. So is the episode based on reality? I guess we will just have to wait and see. Check out some of the lovely tweets below:
